LASC, IAMR Law College, Ghaziabad organized a free legal aid camp at Primary School Duhai, Ghaziabad, today. 

Legal Aid & Services Clinic, IAMR Law College, Ghaziabad, in collaboration with DLSA (District Legal Services Authority), Ghaziabad, organized a day-long legal aid camp to spread legal awareness among the people of Duhai Village, Ghaziabad, on March 12, 2024. The students and the faculty members reached out to the villagers through foot rallies and door-to-door surveys and provided legal guidance and suggestions. The main objective of organizing a legal aid camp was to spread awareness of rights, entitlements, and legal remedies.

Mr. Ajay Veer Singh, Parshad, Duhai, Ghaziabad was the chief guest. He gave the introduction and importance of free legal aid camps and their benefits to the weaker sections of society. Dr. Suneet Kr. Dwivedi, HOD Law College, explained the different provisions of law relating to women, children, transgender, old age persons, industrial laborers, etc. as the Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, Hindu Marriage Act, 2005, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, & other statutes provide.

The students of B.A.LLB. and LL.B. of all the semesters participated in the Legal Aid Services Camp. There were more than 75 participants. The camp was coordinated by Mr. Ashutosh Singh, with the help of faculty members Ms. Pranjali Mridha, Ms. Sweety, Ms. Khyati Bhardwaj, Ms. Shruti, and Mr. Shashi Kumar.
